Jayam Engineers

Jayam Engineers is based at 7-A, Thiruvalluvar Street in Ramakrishna Nagar, which is in the Kavundampalyam area. We are a small engineering unit that handles various types of machining work. Being located in a more residential-feeling part of town like Ramakrishna Nagar makes it a bit different from the huge industrial zones. It is a bit quieter, but we still make our fair share of noise once the machines are powered up. We mostly do work for smaller companies and individuals who need specific parts made to order. Our setup is pretty basic with a few lathes and a drill press. We don't have a big management team; usually, it is just us working on the floor and taking care of the customers when they drop by. We’ve been here for a few years now and have a steady flow of work that keeps us busy. We don't bother with anything corporate. We just wear our grease-stained clothes and get on with the day's tasks. Sometimes we have to wait a couple of days for materials to arrive, which can be annoying, but that is just part of the business. We try to be honest about how long a job will take. If we are backed up, we tell you directly so you aren't waiting around. We like the local feel of being in Kavundampalyam and knowing the people who live and work around us every day. It's a simple life but the work is steady.
