Icon Design Studio

Icon Design Studio is located right on Sathy Road in Ganapathy. If you’re coming past the telephone exchange, you can’t really miss the building. We are up on the first floor at No 87 A. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there’s always a lot of noise from the buses and bikes going past, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our day usually starts with sorting out the latest design requests that come in. It’s mostly just us sitting at the computers or sketching things out on paper. The office is a bit cramped when we have all the samples out, but it’s a working space, not a showroom. We get a lot of natural light through the front windows, which helps when we're trying to pick out colors or look at fine lines in a drawing. Coimbatore is a big place, but the Ganapathy area has its own feel. Being near the exchange makes it easy to give people directions. We aren't trying to be the biggest studio out there; we just want to do a decent job for the people who come to see us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that's just part of life here. We keep it honest and just focus on the task in front of us. Most of the time, our desks are covered in notes and old blueprints.
