Working at Computer Age Management Services (P) Ltd in Coimbatore has its own rhythm. We are situated at 9/5 G Anna Nagar, over in the Thondamuthur part of town. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, but it’s a nice area in Tamil Nadu. The office isn't anything too crazy, just a place where we manage a lot of data and records for people. We go by CAMS for short, though the full name is a bit of a mouthful. My desk is usually covered in folders and printouts. In this part of Coimbatore, 641109, things feel a bit more relaxed than the middle of town, but the work is still constant. We have to keep track of a lot of moving parts. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of life here. The staff here are all local folks, and we usually share lunch and talk about whatever is going on in the neighborhood. It’s a private limited company, but it feels more like a small community because we’ve all been here for a long time. We aren't trying to be the biggest thing in the world; we just want to make sure the records are right and the management services are handled properly. It’s just a bunch of us working hard in a quiet corner of Anna Nagar, getting the job done.
