Hotel Moti Biriyani Center

Our shop is at No 356 on Mettupalayam Road, right in the Saibaba Colony area of Coimbatore. Most people know us because we are right opposite the TVS showroom. We started this place because we wanted to serve good, simple food to the people around here. It is mostly about the biriyani, which we cook in big pots every day. The kitchen is busy from early morning, and the smell of spices usually fills the whole front area. It is not a fancy dining room with tablecloths, just sturdy tables and chairs where people can sit and eat quickly. We get a lot of workers during their lunch break and families picking up parcels for dinner. The floors get a bit messy when it is busy, but we are always carrying a mop around to keep it decent. I am usually behind the counter handling the cash and the orders. We do not have a big menu with a hundred items, we just stick to what we know how to make. Sometimes we run out of food before the day is over, and that is just how it goes with fresh cooking. We do not do much advertising; people just come because they like the taste. It is a loud, busy place with fans spinning overhead and people talking. We have been on this road for a long time and enjoy the neighborhood.
