Hidden Fork

Hidden Fork is located at 1432 Avinashi Road, inside the Annai Illam building in Peelamedu. We are quite close to G R G Krishnamal College, so we see a lot of students and faculty members every single day. The name kind of fits because even though we are on a main road, you have to look for us a little bit. It is a lived-in space that feels more like a house than a stiff commercial building. We spend our mornings getting the kitchen ready and making sure the tables are wiped down. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and we don't have any strict rules about how long you can sit there. We see a lot of people doing their homework or just hanging out between their classes. The traffic on Avinashi Road can be a bit much at times, but once you step inside, it feels a lot calmer. We don't have a big corporate board making decisions. It is just us deciding what to cook and how to run things for the day. Sometimes the chairs don't perfectly match and the menu has a few handwritten notes on it, but that is just part of the charm. We like being a part of the Peelamedu community and seeing the same faces every week. It is a small operation and we handle everything from the cooking to the cleaning ourselves without making a big fuss about it.
