Green Star Stone

You can find us at No.40 on Mettupalayam Road, which is right across from where the KSB Pumps are. This part of NSN Palayam stays pretty busy with all the industrial stuff going on. Green Star Stone is a local setup where we handle different types of stone materials. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting and moving things around the yard. We get quite a bit of dust because of the road and the stones, but that’s just part of the trade. Usually, it’s just us and a couple of workers making sure the orders are ready for the trucks. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the outdoor space and a small area for the paperwork. People driving by often stop in because they see the stacks of stone from the main road. We try to keep a good variety so there is something for everyone, whether they are doing a small patch-up or a whole house. The sun gets really hot on Mettupalayam Road during the day, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early if we can. We’ve been here long enough that most of the nearby businesses know us by name. We just focus on keeping the yard moving and helping the people who walk through the gate. It’s a simple life and simple work, and we are just here day in and day out.
