You can find Ind Lankaa Exim at No. 78/79-a in Cheran Tower on Arts College Road in Gopalapuram. Being in Cheran Tower means we are right in the thick of things in this part of town. We’ve been operating from this office for a good while now. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for us to handle the daily tasks of our trade business. We mostly focus on moving goods between here and Sri Lanka, which involves a lot of back-and-forth communication. The street outside is always humming with activity from the college and the other shops nearby. We don't have any corporate polish or a big team of sales people. It’s just a few of us who know how to handle the shipping documents and the customs requirements. Most of our time is spent on the computer or the phone, making sure that everything is moving according to plan. Sometimes there are delays at the port or issues with the weather, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. We aren't looking to impress anyone with big words. We just want to get the job done and make sure the cargo gets where it is supposed to go. Gopalapuram is a good place to be based, and we like the routine of coming here every day. We just keep our focus on the work and try to stay out of trouble with the paperwork.
