Oswal Marbles

We have our place, Oswal Marbles, located at No. 582- 599 on the 100 Feet Road in Gandhipuram. Being on such a major road means we see a lot of people passing by every day. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a large space where we display the marble slabs so people can see the different grains and colors. We don’t have those bright, artificial lights you see in some of the big city showrooms. We think it’s better for people to see the marble in natural light so they know exactly what they are getting. It’s a lot of work moving the slabs around when someone wants to see a piece that’s at the back of the stack. We’ve been here in Gandhipuram for quite a few years and we’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot. But our business has stayed pretty much the same. We talk to people, show them the stone, and help them figure out how much they need for their floors or walls. We don’t use any high-pressure sales tactics. It’s just marble, after all. You either like a piece or you don’t. We have a couple of guys who help with the loading, and the traffic on 100 Feet Road can make that a bit tricky sometimes. We don’t have a website or anything like that. We just rely on people coming in and the reputation we’ve built up over the years.
