My Plants

The shop for My Plants is at No. 142/5 Vasanth Complex. We are on 8th Street in Gandhipuram. It’s a busy shopping area. Our shop is tucked into the complex. It’s not the biggest space, but we fill it up with whatever we have. There are green things everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a squeeze to walk through the aisles sometimes. We spend most of our time watering and checking the leaves. It’s a bit messy with the soil and the water on the floor. We don't have a professional decorator. We just put things where they fit. Gandhipuram is always loud with horns and people, but inside the complex, it feels a bit different. We aren't a corporate chain. It is just a small local shop. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just like having the plants around. Some days are slow and we just sit by the entrance. Other days, everyone wants something at once. We don't have a computer system for the inventory. We just know what we have by looking at the shelves. It’s a simple way to run things. If you are looking for a specific pot or a leaf, you just have to ask. We’ve been here at Vasanth Complex for a while and the regulars know where to find us. It’s just us and the plants.
