Jane Exports

Jane Exports is tucked into G. R. G. Layout, specifically at No. 5. It's right off Trichy Road, so it's not too hard to find, but it stays a bit quieter than the main drag. We’ve been operating from here for several years. It started out with just a couple of desks and a telephone. We send things out to different places, mostly clothes and some textiles. We aren't some big factory. It’s more of an office where we coordinate everything. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We're usually too busy checking orders. The neighbors are nice, mostly other small businesses and some houses. We like the pace here. It’s not a rush-rush kind of environment, but we get the work finished on time. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we have to wait to send our lists. We just drink some tea and try again later. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. People find us by word of mouth mostly. Trichy Road is always changing, but G. R. G. Layout feels pretty much the same as it always has. We’re just a small part of the local economy, doing our bit. We open at nine and usually head home by six, unless there is a big shipment going out. It's a steady way to spend the week and we enjoy the work.
