Freak Entertainment Company

We are over at 4 Harani Avenue in Vadavalli, right opposite the EB Colony. Coimbatore is a great place to work, but it gets busy. Our day-to-day is mostly about testing speakers and making sure the lights aren't flickering. We call it an entertainment company, but really we're just guys who like loud music and bright stages. The gear is heavy and the van is always a bit cramped when we load it up for a show. We don't have a fancy corporate structure. If something needs doing, one of us just grabs a wrench and does it. Sometimes we’re working in a big hall and other times it’s just someone’s driveway. Being in Vadavalli means we’re a bit away from the city center noise until we start our own. We spend a lot of time untangling cables—it's the worst part of the job, honestly. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there, just the ones who show up and get the sound right. There’s a lot of sweating involved in setting up trusses and checking the power supply. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather doesn't play along, but we’ve been doing this long enough to not let it bother us. It’s just how we make our living here in Coimbatore as Freak Entertainment Company. We stay until the last song ends.
