We are situated within the Sulochana Cotton Spinning Mills Campus on Mettupalayam Road. It’s a bit of an interesting spot here in K.Vadamadurai, Coimbatore. Being on a mill campus means there is always some kind of activity happening nearby, which is better than being in a silent office block. At Evergreen Solar Systems India (P) Ltd., we share the area with the industrial side of things. Mettupalayam Road is usually quite busy with trucks and cars going past all day, so it never feels too quiet. The campus itself is quite large, and it took some of us a little while to get the layout right when we first started. Coimbatore weather is usually okay, but we definitely notice the dust from the road sometimes. We have our desks set up in a way that makes sense for the work we do, and there’s always a kettle for making tea in the corner. The building has a bit of age to it, which gives it some character I suppose. It’s not one of those modern glass buildings you see in the city center, but it works fine for what we need. Most of the staff here have a long commute, so we try to get started early before the traffic on the main road gets too bad. It is a practical place to work, honestly. We just focus on the tasks at hand and keep things moving. There isn't much more to it than that, just a group of people working.
