Our shop is located at No. 74/8A/9A in the Ammani Kondalampatty area of Salem. We are Elastomeric Engineers Private Limited. Most of what we do involves technical engineering work, specifically with materials that need to be flexible or durable. It's a lot of machinery and technical specs. The workshop can get pretty loud and hot, especially in the middle of a Salem summer, but that is just the environment we work in. We have a crew that knows how to handle the equipment and the materials. It is not a clean, white-collar office job. We have grease on our hands and we are usually looking at drawings or checking the output of a machine. We started this because there was a need for this kind of specific engineering in this part of Tamil Nadu. We don't go in for big advertisements. Usually, people find us because they need something very specific made or fixed. We spend our days measuring things, testing how much they can stretch, and making sure the parts fit the way they are supposed to. It is practical, hands-on work. If you come by Nattamangalam, you will find us there at the factory. We are just a local engineering firm doing our bit with the tools we have. It has been a long journey getting the setup right.
