We set up our workshop at Site No. 9-11 in the Cheran Industrial Estate, which is over in Sharp Nagar on Kalapatti Road. It is a typical industrial area with a lot of other companies around us, so there is always a lot of activity. Our building is a plain functional space where we keep our machines and materials. The road outside can be a bit bumpy and when the monsoon hits, the puddles make it tricky to get the heavy loads moved. We spend most of our time on the shop floor making sure the production is going okay. It isn't a quiet job, as there is always some motor running or someone using a tool nearby. Our staff is mostly made up of people from the local Kalapatti area. We don't have a big corporate office with air conditioning, we just have a small corner for the paperwork. The tea stall down the road is where we usually go when we need a break from the noise. We have been in Sharp Nagar for a while now and we’ve seen the area grow quite a bit. It’s a practical place to work and we don’t try to make it look like something it isn’t. We just show up, do the engineering work, and go home. It is a steady routine that works for us and our families.
