ECO Green Unit

The ECO Green Unit is situated at C-5, within the Business and Planning Unit of the Directorate of Agri Business Development. We are right on the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University campus. It’s a nice place to work because there’s so much green around us, which fits what we do. We aren't a typical business that you’d find on a high street. Our work is tied closely to agriculture and finding better ways to do things on the farm. A lot of our time is spent talking to researchers or looking at new ways to process crops. It’s a bit of a mix between an office and a lab sometimes. We have people coming in with all sorts of ideas about farming and sustainability. Our space is usually filled with papers, soil samples, or prototypes of new tools. It can get a bit cluttered, but we know where everything is. We don't really have a marketing team or anyone to make us look polished. We’re just a group of people who care about farming and want to help make it more efficient. Sometimes we’re out in the fields and other times we’re stuck at our desks doing data entry. It’s a quiet kind of work, but it feels important to us. We don’t make big promises, we just look at the science and see what might actually work for a regular farmer. It’s a slow process, but we’re fine with that. We just take it step by step.
