DELUX TOOLS

We are located at 113 Karuppa Gounder Street, which is right near the State Bank of India building. If you know this area, you know how hectic the street gets with all the shops and people moving around. Our place, DELUX TOOLS, is basically a room filled with heavy metal things and tools for different kinds of jobs. We have wrenches, sets of screwdrivers, and some power tools sitting on the shelves. It is not a shiny showroom. There is usually a bit of dust on the boxes because that is just how it is in a hardware area. People come in looking for a specific bolt or a hammer that won't break on them after two days. We spend a lot of time talking to mechanics and guys who do their own repairs at home. It gets loud outside with the traffic, but inside we just focus on finding what the customer needs. Sometimes we have to dig through the inventory to find a particular size of spanner. It is a practical business. We’ve been here on this street for quite a bit, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around the bank. We don't do anything complicated, just sell tools that work for the people who need them. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we like being part of the local trade here on Karuppa Gounder Street.
