Shakthi Granites

You can find us at No. 217 in the L. G. B. Complex. We are right on Big Bazaar Street, which is almost always crowded. If you look across from the Clock Tower, that’s where we are. Being in such a central spot means we see a lot of people every day. We sell granites, and our shop is filled with different slabs. It’s a bit cramped inside the complex, but we make it work. We’ve been here for years. The noise from the street is constant, with all the horns and people shopping. We usually have samples out so people can feel the texture of the stone. It’s not a quiet job. We are often moving pieces around to show a customer a specific color or vein. Dealing with granite in a busy market area like this has its challenges, especially when we have to unload new stock. We have to do it fast so we don’t block the road too long. My father started this, and now we just keep it going. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where the Clock Tower is and find us. It’s a practical way to run a business. We focus on the stone we have in the racks. Sometimes we drink tea with the other shop owners nearby while waiting for customers. It's just life on Big Bazaar Street. We handle each piece carefully despite the rush around us.
