Bakgiam Engineering Corporation

Bakgiam Engineering Corporation is located out on Tex Park Road, near the Civil Aerodrome Post. It’s an area with a lot of industrial activity, so we fit right in. We spend most of our time working on engineering projects and fixing parts. The shop floor is usually loud with the sound of tools and machines. It’s not the cleanest place, but that’s because we’re actually working. We have a lot of metal scraps and heavy equipment lying around. We’ve been at this for many years now. The team here is small, mostly guys who have been doing this kind of work their whole lives. We don't use any fancy management techniques. If something needs fixing, we figure out how to do it. The road outside gets a lot of trucks going to the airport area, so there’s always movement. We don't have a big sign or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our overalls. We like the hands-on nature of engineering. It’s about solving problems and making things that last. We don't write long reports; we just show the results. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it’s what we know. We’re just a local engineering shop trying to do good work every day. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work on the lathes. It helps the day go by a bit faster.
