If you are looking for Annai Farms & Feeds, we are on the second floor of the P. K. Complex on Katcheri Street. It’s right near the Kalpana Theater, which is a good landmark if you’re new to Udumalpet. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the street, but it also means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs. It’s a good workout, I suppose. Our main focus is on farms and feeds, which means we spend a lot of time talking to local farmers and suppliers about what they need for their livestock. The office always has a faint smell of grain and burlap bags. It’s a simple space with a few desks and a very old ceiling fan that squeaks when it’s on the high setting. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most people just walk in because they know we are here. Udumalpet is a town where everyone seems to know everyone else’s business, so we try to keep things honest and straightforward. Some days we are buried in ledger books and receipts, and other days we are out visiting the farms. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s a good one. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the business running smoothly without any unnecessary drama or complicated systems.
