Pioneer Breeding Farms

Down here on Trichy Road in Pongalur, you will find Pioneer Breeding Farms. We are specifically at No. 7/446. It is a good location because the road is wide and easy for trucks to get in and out. The air is a bit cleaner out here than in the middle of the city. We spend a lot of time outdoors or in the sheds. Breeding is a job that does not really stop for weekends or holidays. The animals need tending to no matter what the calendar says. We have a small crew here. Some of us have been working on farms since we were kids. It is hard work and you get dirty, but it feels okay at the end of the day. Pongalur is a quiet place for the most part. We like the pace here. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and we have to make sure everything stays cool. It is a lot of routine. Feeding, cleaning, checking on things, and then doing it all over again the next morning. We do not have fancy offices or anything like that. Just some desks and chairs for the paperwork and a lot of space for the actual work. If you drive down Trichy Road, you cannot miss the turn for our place. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing. It is a simple life and it works for us. Most days we are too tired for much else once the sun goes down.
