Our place is at 25/2 in M.G.R. Nagar, right in the Podanur area. Alfas Granites India (P) Ltd. isn't a massive corporate office; it’s more of a practical site where we handle the granite business. We have a lot of space for the trucks to pull in and out, which is necessary when you are dealing with heavy stone blocks. Podanur is a bit away from the main city rush, which we actually prefer because it gives us more room to work. Most days are spent checking the inventory and making sure the shipments are loaded correctly. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just get the granite ready and send it off. The staff here has been with us for a long time, so we all know the routine by heart. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and the yard gets a bit muddy, but we just keep going. We don’t have a big reception area with leather chairs. It’s mostly just a few desks and some samples of the stone we have available at the moment. We focus on the daily tasks and making sure the paperwork for the private limited company status is kept in order. It’s a regular job for us, and we try to do it right without making things more complicated than they need to be.
