A2 Solars, Coimbatore

Our shop is located on 2nd Street in Rajiv Nagar, right off K.K. Pudur Road in Velandipalayam. Coimbatore is a great place for what we do because the sun is almost always out. We spend most of our time talking to people about solar panels and how to get them set up on their roofs. The office is a simple place with some samples and a lot of technical manuals lying around. We’re often out on-site, climbing up on houses or small factories to see where the panels should go. It’s physical work and the heat can be a lot, but it’s what we know. We started this because we saw more and more people asking about alternative power in Tamil Nadu. We don't have a big corporate office or a sales pitch that sounds like a script. We just tell people what we can do and show them the equipment. It’s a small team here, just a handful of us who handle the installations and the paperwork. We’ve gotten to know a lot of the families around Velandipalayam over the years. We’re not looking to expand across the whole country; we’re happy just being the local solar guys that people can call when they want to save a bit on their electricity bill. It’s straightforward work that keeps us busy year-round and we like seeing more panels going up on the neighborhood rooftops lately.
