Inani Marbles & Industries Ltd.

Up in Chittorgarh, we’ve got Inani Marbles & Industries Ltd. at F-17 & 58 Ricco Industrial Area. It’s a busy part of town if you’re into the stone business. We spend our days surrounded by huge slabs of marble. It’s heavy stuff, and you really have to respect it or someone is going to get hurt. We spend a lot of time moving things around with the cranes. The sun gets pretty hot out here in the yard, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early if we can. Chittorgarh is known for this kind of work, and we are just one of many places doing it. We don't try to stand out with big signs or anything. We just focus on the stone. Some pieces have nice patterns, others are just plain, but they all need to be handled carefully. The guys in the back are usually busy with the polishing or the cutting. It creates a lot of noise, but you get used to it after a while. We have people stop by the site to look at what we’ve got in the stacks. We show them around, answer their questions as best we can, and then get back to work. It’s a simple way to spend a day. No one here is trying to be anything they aren’t. We just work with marble and try to keep the yard in some kind of order before the next shipment comes in.
