Muktheshwara Mahila Farmers Producer Company Limited is found at Dgcc No. 125, very close to the Murugamalla Temple in Murugamaala Village. Being in Chintamani Taluk, we are surrounded by a lot of history and a lot of agriculture. The temple is a big landmark, so we often hear the bells and see the crowds during festival times. Our company is run by women who are also farmers themselves. We started this because we wanted a place where the women in Murugamaala could come together and manage their own agricultural business. The office is a simple room in the DGCC building, and it is usually a very lively place. We have a lot of meetings where everyone has something to say, and it can get quite loud, but it is all in good spirit. We do not have any corporate training or formal business suits. We wear our everyday clothes and talk about the things that matter, like the price of fertilizer or the lack of rain. Chintamani can be a tough place to farm, but having this company helps us feel a bit more secure. We handle our own accounts and make our own decisions right here near the temple. It is a practical, no-nonsense way of working that suits our lives perfectly.
