We are over at Number 7 on Rotary Nagar First Street in Triplicane. If you know the area, you know how tight the streets can be and how hard it is to find parking. We spend most of our time in the back where the food is handled. It gets pretty warm in there, especially with the ovens or stoves going, so we’re always keeping the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes through. The smell of whatever we’re prepping that day usually drifts out into the street. We’re not a big factory; it’s more of a hands-on kitchen vibe where everyone is busy chopping, packing, or cleaning. Sometimes we run out of containers and have to scramble to get more from the local supplier. The delivery bikes are always coming and going, trying to navigate the Triplicane traffic. We don’t have a fancy menu or a big marketing team. We just make the food and hope people like it enough to come back. There’s usually flour or some kind of spice on our aprons by the end of the shift. The floor gets sticky and needs a good scrub every night. It’s hard work, and our backs often ache by the time we lock up, but it’s what we do. Rotary Nagar is a lively place to be, and we feel right at home in the middle of all the noise and humidity. It's just a regular local kitchen.
