Our setup is a bit different because we are located within Shimato Enterprises over at 371 Ambattur Industrial Estate. It’s a massive area and finding the right gate can sometimes take people a minute if they aren't from around here. Zhejiang Upsoalr is just part of the daily bustle in this section of Chennai. The industrial estate has a very specific smell of grease and metal and hard work. It’s always noisy with its trucks coming in to drop off parts or pick up finished goods. We spend most of the day at our desks or checking on the inventory that comes in. It’s not the kind of place where you’d find a lot of decorations. It’s mostly just shelves and workspaces. We have tea twice a day and that’s when we actually get a chance to chat about something other than work. The humidity in Ambattur is no joke so we keep the fans going at full speed. Sometimes the power dips but that’s just life in an industrial zone. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the solar-related stuff is handled correctly. If someone calls, they usually talk to one of us directly. We aren't big on formalities. We just try to get the numbers right and keep the shipments moving through the Shimato office without any major drama. It’s a lot of manual tracking but it gets the job done.
