Zafar Trading Co.

You can find Zafar Trading Co. at 113/16 on Angappanaicken Street. It is a very crowded street with people and carts moving around all day long. Our space is pretty packed with boxes and stock, sometimes piled right up to the ceiling. It makes it a bit of a squeeze to get around, but we know exactly where everything is located. We have been on this street for many years and the building itself is quite old. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, which makes moving heavy stock a real workout. We are not big on using computers for everything; we still like writing things down in our ledger because it feels more reliable. Customers come in and out throughout the day. Some are in a big hurry and others like to stay for a quick chat. My back usually aches by the time we close up, but that is just part of the trading business. We do not have a website or any of that. If someone needs what we sell, they just come down to the shop and ask. Angappanaicken Street is loud and dusty, but it is our home. We just try to keep enough stock on hand and be honest with the people who walk through the door. It is a small operation, mostly family, and we like keeping it that way.
