The basement of Cisons Complex, No.150/5 on Montieth Road in Egmore, is where we are based. Zackariya Foods And Beverages Private Limited is a bit tucked away, but it works for us. Being below ground level keeps things a little cooler, which is nice during the Chennai summers. Montieth Road is a very busy part of Egmore with constant traffic and people moving about. Days are spent down here dealing with various food and drink orders. It’s not a huge space, so stacking things carefully is a must. When a big delivery comes in, it can feel a bit cramped. We’ve been in Cisons Complex for a while now and know the other shop owners. Fancy windows or displays aren't part of the setup since we’re below ground. Mostly, it's just shelves and a couple of desks for the paperwork. Simple tools are used and a lot of things are done by hand. Even though the lighting isn't the best, everyone has got used to it. The business is straightforward and we don't really have a budget for advertising. Sorting the snacks and drinks is the main task. If you’re looking for us, just head down the stairs and follow the signs. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes, but this little corner is home. It stays relatively quiet compared to the noise on the street above our heads.
