Viswanathan here. My place is located at No 3, Sanskrit College Street, right near R H Road. This is one of the older parts of Chennai and I’ve been based here for many years. The building is quite old and has seen better days, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain out. I really like the atmosphere of this street. It feels very traditional and it’s close to everything I need. My office is pretty small and I have a lot of old files that I should probably get rid of. However, I’ve always been worried that I might need a document from ten years ago, so I just keep them. I don't use a lot of modern technology in my work. I still prefer using a physical ledger book for my notes. It just feels more real and reliable to me. I don't have a marketing team or anyone to tell me how to promote myself. I wouldn't even know what to say to them anyway. I just do what I know how to do and hope it’s enough. Some people tell me I’m a bit old-fashioned, and I suppose they are right. It doesn't really bother me. I’ve seen many businesses open and close on R H Road over the decades, but I’m still here at my desk. I guess that counts for something. I’m usually here from early morning until the sun goes down and the street lights come on.
