Our place is at 100-6, Spurtank Road, right near the corner of Vr Ramanathan Road in Chetpet. A K L Infotech is mostly a room full of computers, tangled cables, and spare parts. We do a lot of technical work, fixing things or setting up small systems for other businesses in the area. It’s often a bit messy with half-opened laptops sitting on the workbenches and tools lying around. We have a couple of technicians who are always busy with screwdrivers and testing different monitors. It’s not a quiet office by any means; there’s always the constant hum of cooling fans and the clicking of keyboards. People bring in their laptops when they won't turn on or when they've accidentally spilled something on the keys. We take a look and see what can honestly be done to fix it. It's not always a quick fix, so we have a dedicated shelf for things waiting for new parts to arrive. Chetpet is a very busy area, so there's always a lot of noise and traffic happening right outside our window. We've been in this exact spot for a few years now. It’s a practical setup, nothing made for show. We have a small fridge for water and a kettle for tea, and that’s about it for luxuries. Sometimes we stay late when a server goes down or a big project is due the next morning. It's just a regular tech shop doing our bit for the local folks who need their gadgets working again.
