The shop is at 1/43, right on Perambur Direct Road. If you know Purasawalkam, you know how much noise there is from the buses and the bikes outside. We spend most of our day in the back area where all the cooking and packing happens. It’s a small space, so we have to stay organized or we’d be tripping over each other. Usually, the morning starts with the smell of whatever we’re preparing that day drifting out onto the street. Some people stop by just because of that. We aren't doing anything complicated, just making food that people can take home. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy for that right now. We have a few staff members who have been with us since the beginning. They know exactly where everything is, from the big bags of flour to the small spice jars. The traffic on the road never really stops, so there’s always a background roar while we work. It’s just the way life is in this part of the city. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or anything. As long as the food is ready and the place is clean, we’re happy. We just keep things moving and try to keep up with the daily demand. It’s a lot of standing on your feet, but we’re used to it by now and the day usually goes by fast.
