People usually find us by the sound of the mill running. We have been over here in Rml Nagar for quite some time now, just doing what needs to be done with the rice. It is dusty work, to be honest. Every morning starts about the same way, opening up the gates and checking the machinery to make sure nothing broke overnight. We see a lot of different people coming through with their loads. Some days are much busier than others, and when the season hits, it gets really loud around here. There is no air conditioning in the main area, so the summers feel long, but we just get through it. We aren't a big fancy operation with matching uniforms or anything like that. Most of us just wear what’s comfortable for moving heavy bags around. The floors are always covered in a bit of husk, no matter how much we sweep. It’s just the nature of the business at Vijaya Rice Industries. We handle the grains, bag them up, and get them moved out to where they need to go. If you are looking for us, just head down into Rml Nagar. You will see the trucks lined up sometimes. It is not always pretty or organized, but the work gets finished. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or decorations. We just keep the machines humming and make sure the bags are filled properly before the sun goes down.
