Vijay Energy Products Pvt Ltd is based out of Sagar Apartments, which is right on 23 Gopalakrishna Road in T. Nagar. If you know Chennai, you know T. Nagar is always crowded and noisy, but somehow our little corner stays alright. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s an apartment building, so it feels more like a home than a stiff corporate office, which suits us just fine. We work on energy products, so there are usually various parts and tools laying around on the tables. It’s not the kind of place where you need to wear a tie to come to work. We’re more about getting our hands a bit dirty and figuring out how stuff works. The team here is small, just a handful of us who know the energy business inside out. We spend the day answering emails, talking to customers over the phone, and checking our stock. Sometimes the lift in the building acts up, so we take the stairs, which is good for the legs I guess. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just do what we do and hope the products work well for the people who buy them. It’s a steady rhythm of work. We start early, take a decent break for tiffin, and finish up when the sun starts going down. It is just honest work in a busy part of the city.
