Uma Devi Driving School

Our office is at 58 A, M T H Road in Avadi Camp. It is a busy spot in Chennai and anyone who lives around here knows how the traffic gets during rush hour. We spend most of our time teaching people how to handle a steering wheel and use the clutch without stalling the engine in the middle of the road. It is mostly locals from around the Avadi area who come to us. Some are young kids getting their first license and others are older folks who finally decided it is time to learn how to drive a car. We have a few cars we use for the lessons and they have seen a lot of miles. The M T H Road location is convenient because students can get some practice in real traffic pretty quickly. It can be stressful for them at first, but they get the hang of it after a few turns. We just sit in the passenger seat and keep an eye on things. There is a lot of paperwork with the RTO and we help get all that sorted out so people do not have to worry about it too much. The weather in Chennai is usually hot, so we try to do the driving early in the morning or later in the evening when it is a bit cooler. It is a steady job and we meet a lot of different people every week while we drive around the neighborhood.
