If you walk down Arunachalam Street in Chepakkom, you’ll find us at No. 42. It’s an old building, but it does the job for what we do every day. We’ve been running Travel Tours from this spot for a while now. Mostly, we just help people figure out how to get from one place to another without spending too much money or getting lost. Chepakkom is a busy area, so there’s always noise coming in from the street while we're on the phone. We don't use any fancy software, just the usual stuff that lets us see when the trains and flights are actually running. It’s a lot of sitting and clicking. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out with the windows open. We don't mind. It gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors or the people waiting for their bookings. Most of the people who come in are regulars who live nearby. They know we'll tell them the truth about a trip even if it’s not exactly what they want to hear. Travel can be messy and confusing. We just try to make the bookings clear so there are no surprises later on. It’s not a big corporate operation. It's just a couple of desks and a lot of paper. We keep things moving as best as we can. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks through the door and where they are trying to go.
