The Tourer

The Tourer is based out of No. 23/4 Shekhar Plaza in Kodambakkam. If you’ve been to Kodambakkam, you know how packed it gets, especially near the station and the markets. Shekhar Plaza is a typical commercial building with all sorts of offices. We are up there on one of the floors. It’s not a grand entrance by any means. You walk up the stairs, and there we are. The office is usually a bit cluttered with maps and papers. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit. It’s usually just one of us sitting there, probably drinking a coffee. Kodambakkam has a certain energy, especially with all the film industry stuff happening nearby. We get all kinds of people walking in. Some are just lost looking for another office, and others actually want to talk to us. The heat in the afternoon can get pretty bad since the building is older, but we have a couple of fans that do the job. It’s a plain, honest space. We don’t try to look like a big multinational company. We are just a small team in a plaza. Sometimes we go downstairs to the small shop for a soda when it gets too stuffy. It’s a simple life. We like being in Kodambakkam because everything you need is just a short walk away. It’s a good spot for us, even if the stairs are a bit steep sometimes when you're tired.
