Transwin Moulds

You can find Transwin Moulds at 19 Vasantha Press Road in Adyar. We’re right next to the Sankara School, so we have to be careful with the traffic when the kids are being dropped off or picked up. It’s a fairly quiet road otherwise. Inside our building, we work on making moulds, which is a lot of precision work that takes time. We have our machines lined up and the floor is usually covered in bits of material. It’s a specialized kind of work, but we just see it as our daily routine. We’ve been in Adyar for a long time and have seen the neighborhood grow and change around us. The building is simple and doesn’t have any big signs out front. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for years. We spend a lot of time checking measurements and making sure the shapes are right. Sometimes the heat in the workshop gets a bit much, but we have some good ventilation going. We don’t really do any marketing or anything like that. People just know we are here. It’s a small team of us, and we all have our own ways of doing things. We take our lunch breaks together and talk about the news or the weather. It’s a decent way to earn a living, and we like the location because it’s familiar and easy to get to. It is just where we have always been.
