G. A. Shocks Absorbers Private Limited

G. A. Shocks Absorbers Private Limited is situated at No. 1/519 on Old Mahabalipuram Road in Thuraipakkam. While OMR is mostly known for big IT parks these days, we are more of a traditional workshop. We focus on shock absorbers, and that’s what we’ve been doing for years. The shop is a straightforward place where the smell of oil and metal is pretty much constant. We have a small team of workers who know their way around all kinds of suspensions. It’s a busy road, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the traffic outside. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have our building in Thuraipakkam and our tools. Most of our days are spent taking things apart and putting them back together. It’s repetitive work, but we feel okay about it. Sometimes we talk about how much the area has changed with all the new buildings, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just a shock absorber shop trying to do a decent job for whoever walks through the door. It’s practical, everyday work, and that suits us just fine. We open up the gates every morning and stay until the sun goes down. There's no glamour here, just shocks and struts and a lot of grease.
