Thirupathi Stores

Thirupathi Stores is located right on South Usman Road in T. Nagar. If you look across from Hotel Aruna, you will see us at No:68/30. Being in T. Nagar means it is always very noisy and there is always a crowd of people outside. We have been here for a good amount of time, watching the city change around us. The shop sells all kinds of household goods and provisions for the kitchen. It is not a very large place, so we have to use every bit of wall space for shelving. You will see bags of pulses and rice stacked near the entrance. The floor is made of old tile and it has seen a lot of feet over the years. We usually have a small radio playing somewhere in the back room. Customers come in for their monthly groceries or just a single item they forgot during their main shopping. Sometimes the traffic on Usman Road is so bad that the delivery vans cannot even get to us until late at night. We just stay open and wait for them. The front step is a bit high, so we always tell people to watch their footing when they come in. We have a lot of plastic containers filled with different kinds of snacks that we sell by weight. The labels on some of the older jars have faded over time, but we know exactly what is inside them.
