Thermo Fisher

Our office is located at 2, Tank Bund Road in Nungambakkam, which is a pretty central part of Chennai. Thermo Fisher has been operating out of this spot for a while, and if you know the area, you know the traffic can be a real headache during rush hour. We are right there near the heart of things. Most of what we do involves scientific equipment and supplies for labs. It’s a lot of boxes and technical manuals. We don’t have a big storefront where you can just walk in and browse; it’s more of a professional workspace where we coordinate deliveries and handle technical support. The people working here are mostly locals who know their way around a microscope or a centrifuge. We spend a lot of time on the phone or answering emails from researchers and hospital staff who need specific parts. It’s a lot of quiet, focused work, punctuated by the sounds of the street outside. We try to keep things orderly, but sometimes when a big shipment comes in, the hallway gets a bit crowded with crates. We don’t really go in for big advertisements or anything like that. People usually find us because they need something very specific for their work. We just try to be helpful and get the orders out as fast as we can. It’s a steady job in a busy neighborhood and we've been here for many years now.
