Techno Forge

Techno Forge is situated at number 66 in the Industrial Estate at Ekkatuthangal. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there is always a lot of heavy machinery running. Our place is no different. The forge is the heart of what we do, and it gets quite hot in there, especially during the summer months in Chennai. We spend our days working with metal and making sure the forge is running right. It’s dirty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We don't have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most people just come in, tell us what they need, and we get to it. Ekkatuthangal is a busy area and we’ve been part of it for a long time now. We know the other shop owners around here. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. We just heat up the metal and shape it. It’s a basic process but it takes time to get it right. Our unit at number 66 is where we’ve put in a lot of hours over the years. We just keep our heads down and focus on the work. It’s a practical life, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep the hammers going until the job is done properly.
