We are located at 112 on the second floor of the Eldorado Building on Nungambakkam High Road. Being in Chennai, it’s almost always hot outside, so the air conditioning in the office is a blessing. This isn’t a steel mill with furnaces and smoke; it’s more of a regional office where we handle the logistical side of things. There are desks everywhere and the sound of phones ringing is pretty much constant from nine to five. We deal with a lot of paperwork regarding shipments and orders that are moving across the country. The building itself has been around for a long time, and you can feel that history when you walk through the lobby. We don't really have a showroom or anything like that. It’s just people working on computers and filing folders away. Sometimes the traffic on High Road is so bad you can hear the horns even through the glass. We grab lunch at the local spots nearby and talk about anything other than steel for thirty minutes. It’s a steady kind of work. We make sure the numbers match the physical stock being moved elsewhere. It’s not flashy, and we don’t spend much time on fancy presentations. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to get home before the evening rush hour really kicks in. It's just a regular office life here for all of us.
