You can find Swastik Laser Art over at No. 88 Bangaru Naicken Street. We are tucked away on Ellis Road, which is right behind the Devi Cinema near Mount Road. It can be a little bit tricky to find our door if you are not looking closely, but once you get near, you can usually hear the machines working. We have a couple of laser cutters that we use for all different kinds of projects. Most of the work we do involves cutting or engraving designs into wood and acrylic. It creates a very specific smell in the shop, a bit like burnt wood, but after a while, you don't even notice it. The workspace is usually filled with scraps of material and samples of different things we have made over the years. It isn't a polished showroom by any means. It is a working shop where we spend our time tweaking the settings on the computer and watching the lasers do their thing. We get all kinds of people coming in, from students working on school projects to local businesses that need signs made for their offices. We don't do much in the way of advertising; most people just hear about us from someone else or find us because they were visiting the cinema. It is a busy little spot and we are usually focused on getting the next job finished. Every design is a bit different, which keeps the work interesting for us to do.
