It’s a busy building with lots of stairs and people moving about. Our shop isn't very large, but we have enough space for our counters and the small workshop area in the back. Jewelry is what we do, but we don't treat it like a luxury thing only. It’s more about the people who come in. Many of our customers have been coming to us since we first opened our doors here. They bring their families, and now we see their children coming in too. We spend a lot of time looking through magnifying glasses and sitting under bright lights. It can be hard on the eyes after a few hours. The noise from N.S.C. Bose Road always filters in, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big staff. It's just a few of us who know the trade. We don't use fancy lighting to make things look better than they are. We just show the pieces as they are. Sometimes people come in just to fix a broken chain or get a ring cleaned. We handle those small things with the same focus as the big orders. It’s just how we run things in this little corner of the complex.
