Gift World

Gift World is located at 284/14 on Pycrofts Road, right near Bharathi Salai in the Triplicane area of Chennai. Our shop is filled with all kinds of things that people might want to give as presents. We have shelves full of small items, toys, and decorative pieces. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to fit as much as we can on the shelves for people to see. The street outside is always noisy and crowded, which is typical for Triplicane. We get a lot of people walking by who just pop in to see what we have on our shelves. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty because of the open doors and the Chennai heat, but we clean as much as we can. We spend a lot of time rearranging things to make room for new stock that comes in. It’s a simple retail life, talking to customers and helping them find something for a birthday or an anniversary. We don't have a fancy website; we just open the doors every morning and wait for people to come in. Wrapping gifts is something we do a lot of, using whatever paper we have in the back. Sometimes it’s quiet and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on Pycrofts Road. Other times it’s a rush and we can barely keep up with everyone. It’s a small local business and we’ve been here in this spot for a good while.
