Surajgulwani

My place is over at Sunflour Apartments, number 2 J, on Mandabam Road. It’s right in Kilpauk Garden, which is a busy part of Chennai. I’ve lived here for a while and this is where Surajgulwani operates from. It’s not a big shop or a fancy office building, just my apartment where I keep my records and do my daily work. Chennai can get incredibly humid, so I usually have the fan going full blast while I’m sitting at my desk. The traffic on Mandabam Road is constant, you can hear the horns and the bikes all day. It’s just how it is here. I don’t really have a big team or anything. It’s mostly just me handling things as they come. I try to stay organized but sometimes the papers pile up. Kilpauk is a nice enough area with plenty of shops nearby if I need anything quickly. I’ve lived in different parts of the city but this spot feels right for now. It’s convenient. I spend a lot of my time on the phone or working on my computer. I don’t really see the point in having a flashy storefront when I can do everything from here. Some people find it odd that I work from home in an apartment building, but it’s quite common these days in the city. You just find a rhythm that works for you. I drink a lot of coffee and try to get through my list of things to do.
