Supervisor

I am Ramu, and I stay over at 54 Plandyamman Street here in Eganapuram. It is a quiet place in the Kanchipuram district where everyone mostly knows their neighbors. My father is C. Perumal, and he has lived here a long time too. I work as a supervisor, which means I spend most of my day on my feet checking on things and making sure people have what they need to get their work done. Sometimes the sun gets really hot in Tamil Nadu, but you just get used to it after a while. I handle the post through the Eganapuram post office, which is just down the way from where I live. People ask what I do, and I just tell them I look after things. It is not fancy work, but it keeps me busy from morning until evening. I usually start early before the heat gets too bad. Being a supervisor here means you have to talk to a lot of different people every day. I try to keep things moving along without too much trouble. Sometimes there are delays or things don't go right, but that is just how it is. I have been in this area for quite some time now, and I know these streets like the back of my hand. If you are walking down Plandyamman Street, you will probably see me around at some point. There is always a bit of dust in the air from the road, but that is normal. It is a decent life here, and I am satisfied with my daily routine.
