Sunny Sistems- The Gallery

Our place, Sunny Sistems- The Gallery, is tucked away at Door No. 58 on the ground floor. We are right on 2nd Main Road in Gandhi Nagar. If you know Adyar, you know it can get pretty crowded with traffic, but our little corner is usually alright. We spend most of our mornings just tidying up the floor and making sure the lights are working right for the displays. It’s a gallery, so things are always moving around. We aren't trying to be one of those stiff, cold art spaces you see in magazines. It’s just us here, usually drinking some tea and waiting for someone to walk through the door. The walls are usually full of whatever we’ve managed to get in that week. It’s not always perfectly organized, to be honest. Sometimes a frame sits on the floor for a few days before we find the right spot for it. We like being in Adyar because people actually walk around here. You get all sorts coming in. Some people stay for an hour just looking, others just peek their head in and wave. We don't mind either way. It’s just how the day goes. We’ve been at this address for a bit now and the neighbors are good people. It feels like a real part of the community, not just a storefront. Sometimes the ceiling leaks a tiny bit when it rains hard, but we just put a bucket out. We are just regular people doing something we enjoy every single day.
