Subhashini

We have been running Subhashini here on Iyya Pillai Street for a while now. Most people know the spot since it is right near the Hindu High School in Triplicane. It is a busy little street but we manage to get things done. Mostly, we see students stopping by or parents dropping off kids. The building is at number 4/7. It isn't a fancy place with big signs, just a regular space where we do our work every day. People in the neighborhood know us by name mostly. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic outside but that is just how it is in Chennai. We started out small and stayed that way. There is no big corporate office here. Just us sitting and helping whoever walks through the door. If you are walking down from the school side, you will find us easily. We usually keep the doors open during the day so anyone can just pop in. We don't really do much advertising. Most of our work comes from people telling their friends about us. It is quite simple really. We just focus on the task at hand and try to be helpful to the locals. Triplicane is a tight-knit area, so reputation matters more than anything else. We've seen kids grow up and move on to college. It is nice to stay in one place for so long. Sometimes we just sit outside and talk to the neighbors when it is quiet.
