Sri Muthuramman Store

If you walk down Bazzar Road in Kundrathur, you’ll find us at number 76. Sri Muthuramman Store has been a part of this street for a long time. It’s a typical bazaar shop. There’s always a bit of dust from the road and the sound of bells from the temples nearby. We keep the store packed with all sorts of things. Sometimes it’s hard to see the walls because there are so many items hanging or stacked up. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing person. My family and I just run the place ourselves. We open up early and stay open until late in the evening. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and talking to people. We don't have any polished speeches about our values. We just try to be helpful and honest with everyone who walks in. The floor is a bit uneven in places, and the ceiling fan wobbles a little, but it’s our space. We know all the people on Bazzar Road. It’s a tight-knit community here in Kundrathur. We spend our days weighing out goods and chatting with the regulars about their families. It isn't a high-pressure environment. We just take things as they come. It’s a simple, practical way to live. We’re just a small store doing our part in a busy neighborhood. That’s all there is to it. We usually keep a jar of water and some glasses for anyone who comes in feeling thirsty from the heat. It’s a small thing, but people seem to appreciate it.
